"Really nice hotel, Staff were friendly, food offering was excellent, and not overpriced, top quality and varied breakfast options available, it was local whit week gala when we stayed so bar and restaurant were very busy staff were well organised and did not feel ignored. We stayed to attend Robbie concert in Edinburgh, it really easy to access park and ride (20 min drive) and there was a local bus stop that took you straight to Princes St right at the end of the drive. I am also told by a local that its well placed if you are going to a golf course iin the area! "

"Our room was clean and comfortable - very charming. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Loved the quaint atmosphere - the meals in the gastropub were very tasty. The only concern we had is that the bed was a little too hard for us and the pillows too soft - but features like that are very subjective so that might not be a problem for you! The Inn is situated on a main road so can get very busy at times. Our room did overlook the road but once the window was closed and blinds drawn it was quieter. Again, didn’t bother us but something to keep in mind if you need peace & quiet. All in all a lovely place to spend a few nights and/or a lovely meal "

"Unfortunately the check in process was very poor. Despite contacting the host the day prior to arrival we had no return contact back re- keys to get in. Hence unable to get into the property.Phones calls to and fro, fortunately the agent did supply us with the keylock number despite saying we did not have a booking.We were able to supply booking date and payment record.The next day the owners agent said she had to ask us to move out as we didn't have a booking and suggested that Stayz is a scam site.This was our 7th booking so far in the UK and first issue. She offered for us stay as long as we paid for the full 5 nights. We declined to do this until we followed it up with Stayz.To our relief our booking and payment was confirmed and future bookings elsewhere secure.The next day the agent confirmed our booking!!! A bit late after the anguish she caused us.The apartment was fine, good location. Not cleaned or bed made!"
