"Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return."

"Used for 14 guests, rooms and showers very clean, kitchen not the cleanest but was ok, some of the cookware in need of replacement, tho the spacing of the 3 cookers bemused me, (I did over 3 miles in the kitchen alone on the Saturday). The pool table was a bit of a disappointment, cues with no tips and very dirty cloth, maybe worth getting new cloth and then charging for damage, as easy to spot. Luckily weather was great so we sat outside, but would have been nice to have a tournament. Overall...

"We had a fantastic time at Inglenook Cottage. There was everything we could need on arrival, including a very detailed welcome pack which was great as we didnâ€™t know the area too well, and some lovely surprises.The cottage was lovely and clean, and clearly extremely well thought through and loved by the owners. Bathroom and kitchen nice and modern, but with the overall character of the house maintained.We had 4 guests and it was the perfect size for us - the original character of the cottage means that a few floors are uneven and there are low ceilings and beams on the top two floors, but we didnâ€™t find that a trouble at all. One of the best Iâ€™ve stayed in."

Scenic walking routes begin practically at the doorstep, with stunning countryside views just a short stroll away. After each day’s walk, it was a joy to return to such a cosy and comfortable retreat, especially the log burner.Our host was exceptionally attentive and friendly, ensuring every detail was just right without ever intruding on our privacy. Their warmth and care truly enhanced our stay.We would not hesitate to return and wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful break in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. A genuine five-star experience!"
