There are beautifully kept grounds with ample outside seating. The Palace is perfectly located within Buxton, for all amenities, sightseeing, pubs, restaurants and cafés. There is also ample parking at the hotel. An absolute must!"

"I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is."
