"The Island is Amazing! My kids & I played back & forth in their 2 fantastic pools for hours every day, some days for 8 hours & it just flew by we had such a wonderful time! They have the very best beach chairs & large sturdy umbrellas & their beach is so clean & beautiful! We love walking in the water with buckets & watching the colorful treasures wash up as we dive to catch them before the ocean grabs them back (shells we bring home & make frames of for every beach trip we take: every year at The Island since I was in diapers & with my kids since they were in diapers!). We love the remodeling they've done; it’s truly added to the overall experience. The bar off the lobby is open & inviting & they have karaoke which the kids & I love. We do a different song each time & either make it soar or seriously bomb but we laugh & have fun with the other guests & new friends we've made. We love the movie nights in the warmed pool; we can float in the water & smell the ocean air while watching a family favorite- there's no better way to see a movie! We have a big family so we get rooms across from each other on poolside & oceanside which is best bc we love the view of the mountain & falls & the Gulf. We love The Island & it's a home away from home! We travel many places but The Island is always on the books each summer bc so many of our most cherished memories were made there!"

"It is an amazing property it’s very clean. They are very nice they give you free breakfast. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and I feel like if you wanna go on vacation or a birthday trip to Destin Florida this is the best hotel that you can stay in that is very affordable and great. "

"It was excellent , we came a little bit earlier and they let us check in since they have our room ready . I love the way it was pet friendly, we have two tiny behave dogs and have a place to do their business unfortunately some other guests with pets don't pick up after their pets maybe because its been out of litter bags which as a guest with pets should be carrying one. But overall it was awesome stay , clean , breakfast is fresh ,swimming pool is fantastic with spa ,check in and check out easy breezy. Location is good were just hoping its was a beach front but thats asking much . "
