The Hubbardton Battle was the only Revolutionary War battle fought on Vermont soil. This is where, on July 7, 1777, Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire troops ended the British pursuit. There is a small museum and a half mile walking trail around the field with signs telling of the history of the battle. Gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. Every year, over the July 4th weekend, there is a reenactment held here, where thousands of people gather to relive the battle.

"I was in the area for the 250th anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys' assault on Fort Ticonderoga and stayed for two nights at "Camp Howard".I had the best time, it's a really cute yet very spacious cottage, remote and yet easily accessible along a private road.It was truly refreshing to not have cell service, it took me a few hours before I truly relaxed.There is a river down below the back of the cottage and I fell asleep at night hearing the noise of the water.Great property in a wonderful...

This place has all the stuff of home inside, the hardwood floor from top to bottom and each room has a special place to make home. The front entrance make you feel like home with plants hanging and plants out front and porch is great sitting out and grill food . The owners are really nice and helpful. "Great cabin in the woods. When we stayed we had about 8 inches of snow. Paul had someone already set up to plow and shovel. Lots of great uniqueness in the cabin and already has tons of the stuff you need for your stay. Could not have asked for more from this stay. We will be coming back!"
