Ready to disconnect and recharge? Welcome to Gatsby's Getaway!
Watch the sun rise over the Green Mountains and Little Lake from the comfort of your deck. If the weather disagrees, enjoy your coffee in front of the cozy fireplace in your charming bungalow, complete with cathedral ceilings and sliding glass doors.
Close to hiking & biking trails, and many outdoor activities. 10 minutes to nearby Granville, NY or Poultney, VT.
While not technically a 'tiny' house, it is a cozy cabin of 550sqft.
There is one cozy bedroom (8ft x 7.5ft) with a queen bed.
There's a full kitchen with all the basics provided, and coffee & tea are available. Full bath with laundry is available for use.
There's WiFi throughout the cabin, and an impressive DVD collection as well as a smart TV, with Chromecast available; games and books will keep you occupied in inclement weather.
You have a personal view of Little Lake (no direct lake access, but the public access is less than 1/2 mile down the street). Unwind around the firepit, or enjoy the shade in the hammock.
You are located near one of America's Scenic Byways (VT-30, the Stone Valley Byway), and are in the Vermont Lakes Region.
For the outdoor enthusiast, you are within range of 5 major ski areas (Bromley, Stratton, Killington, Okemo, and Pico); you are just a few miles from Lake St. Catherine State Park, and Lake Bomoseen is a 20-minute drive. Dorset Quarry, one of Vermont's most popular swimming holes, is 20 minutes away. There is also golf, along with many hiking and biking trails nearby.
Not exactly the outdoorsy type? The local winery is less than a 10-minute drive. Granville, NY is 10 minutes away (as is Poultney, VT) with pubs, shops, and a brewery. Historic Manchester Center, featuring food, art, and outlet shopping, is 30 minutes away, and if you are looking for a bigger city, Rutland is 40 minutes to the north, Queensbury and Glenns Falls 45 minutes to the west, and Saratoga Springs and Lake George are both within an hour's drive. For theatre lovers, you can reach the Dorset Playhouse in 20 minutes, or the Charles Wood Theatre in 45.

The property line of Gatsby's Getaway goes from the two trees (hammock is there seasonally) to the road, in one direction, and to the treeline in the other direction.
Bugs and wild animals are a fact of life in Vermont, and we have no control over them above and beyond the standard preventative measures. By reserving this property, guests acknowledge their occasional presence in and around the home. Please take care to not leave food scraps in or around the house. Goose poop is also a part of lake life.
Vermont weather can be unpredictable, and I cannot be responsible for acts of nature.
This house is 125 years old. It’s not perfect or new. It may creak when you walk. Things may appear 'old & dirty,' but rest assured our cleaning team spends a lot of time and elbow grease to make sure it’s clean and safe for our guests. We don’t want to risk losing the character and charm of the house. If this bothers you this may not be the right fit for you.
Stays over 2 weeks may incur an additional cleaning fee.
If you forget an item that you need to have shipped to you, a $25 convenience fee will be incurred, along with the cost of shipping.
