"First time staying with as a family of 3 with a young toddler. Half board included breakfast and dinner which was different for the 2 nights we stayed. Great rooms, clean and spacious. Hotel exterior was also very peaceful and nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Superb service. Will be back again!"

"The room is a bit dated but overall still a pleasant stay. Room is spacious with a good view of Mt Aso. Dinner included is very so-so, breakfast is better. Public bath is fantastics with several onsen and an outdoor onsen. Good family hotel."

"Everything about staying here was great! I only speak English and Korean and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating! Especially the manager at the front desk. I got to meet and have simple conversations with the staff. Even the ones that only speak Japanese. They were all friendly and kind regardless of language barriers. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and onsen were very clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious and well timed. I will definitely be back and I am even thinking about...

"This is an amazing property and lovely. Property offers pick-up and sending service from near bus station or train station but you will need to call to the property and make a booking (or just call them when you arrive). Property provide amazing dinner and breakfast which is traditional Japanese style. Both Public and private bath places are amazing with relaxing atmosphere. "The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "quite remote area and my rental car GPS fail to find the place via japan mapcode. Room was very clean , immaculate and beautiful despite over 5 years old. The view of the valley from our level two rooms are breathtaking.The main hiccup is that the hotel onsen was not available during our stay. However the smart tv , room balcony onsen n jaccuzi bath make up for their absent. We are not use to the Kaiseki dinner and japanese breakfast despite their varieties and beautiful dishes."
