However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. "We had a single night's stay here on a Saturday night. They had 3 functions ongoing, with 2 of them relatively noisy. People outside our bedroom window chatting loudly until nearly midnight. Nothing wrong with people enjoying themselves but there should be advance warning and a discount if the hotel is really full with functions. "Would have given a 5 star review but unfortunately neither me or my wife could have a shower, water would only come out at super hot no matter how I tried to ad cold it just stayed boiling hot. Both had to wash in the sink as a consequence. We were in room 6"

"Accommodation was okay. Some areas a bit tired looking but generally clean and well kempt. The ladies on reception went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Always a smile for anyone they met. They are a credit to Days Inn. Major gripe is that parking is charged at £5 per night on top of the rate. The car park is clearly theirs and only a few vehicles parked there overnight. I have a blue badge, parked in one of the disabled bays throughout our stay. There was no concession for this...

"We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly."

"I must admit I was slightly wary of staying here after reading all the complaints about noise, but as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about! The hotel and surroundings were quiet - even during an England match! I suspect it depends on whether the students in neighbouring accommodation blocks are around, so perhaps factor that into your decision. But for relatively cheap accommodation, with breakfast included, you can't go far wrong with the Jonas!"

"Was very impressed that I had a kettle and tea/coffee as ive stayed in other ibis and they didnt have anything. Slept well every night, bathroom was also great shower was quite good too. Overall impressed, compare to the other ibis in Sheffield"

"We had a room with double and single bed. It was very clean - couldn't fault that. I felt it was in a rather run down and ugly location - wouldn't ever return to that area of Sheffield. The view from our window was terrible - made area look derelict. So many things in the room were dated and chipped, including paintwork and had seen better days. "This is a unique hotel with a bit of a disjointed connection of buildings and some different updates in places, but overall a really nice stay and great experience. We had a suite in a portion of the hotel that had been a house, so there were nice stairs and windows that reflected an older time. "Charming hotel in tranquil setting but with very easy access to major road networks. We were a bit worried that the hotel might be noisy but even after a large prom event all was very peaceful and quiet by 11.30pm. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very spacious, tastefully appointed and had a very comfy bed. Would definitely return."
