"Was staying to work from home and flat hunt. Positive was a very comfortable bed, lovely shower and great kitchen. When i needed to extend booking team were great. Sadly the room was next to main road and side road. So constant noise and deliveries/ taxi drops through night / people dealing and smoking under window so in 30+ degree weather couldn't open windows and even with closed windows still noisy. "Unfortunately the interior was shabby and the lobby reminiscent of a student hostel, with stale odour. Pillows and towels were missing from our room and the overhead light was burned out. We felt it was more of a 2-star level. However, the staff tried very hard, and in talking to the very efficient desk gentleman, we discovered that the hotel had been sold some weeks before and was closing down the next week....which explains a lot. "Located in cute, quiet neighbourhood off High Street off Tufnell Park underground. Takes no time to get into city centre. Staff are incredibly friendly and generous. Bent over backwards to answer any questions I had about directions etc. Hot, homemade breakfast and the place is always kept clean. Shared bathroom are a non issue. "My fiancée had an emergency whilst staying here. The man working the night shift on reception rang an ambulance for me. Unfortunately one wasn't available but he then helped me book a taxi as I wasn't aware of the hospital location. When we returned the next morning he let us stay an extra day for a reduced price. Very grateful. Would stay again. "
