"Great stay!"

"Great little find, cheap and easy to access. Stayed here for 1 night while working and visiting family. Arrived late and Kevin texted me the details regarding self check-in. Clean, comfortable and the coffee is greatly appreciated. Only downside is the bathroom being so far away but considering I was there less than 12 hours I can't really argue. I will be staying here again. "

"Very friendly management and staff. Large choice on main menu, would have liked a bit of choice for breakfast - smoked salmon or kippers for example. Talking of breakfast, try and be down at 8 or 9 o'clock to hear the cacophony of all the non-synchronised clocks chiming. "

"Thos wasn't my first time at The Olive Tree. Rebecca & David are always very pleasant. The house is always clean. It's comfortable and cosy. I really enjoy staying there and it is close to my contracted office"

"Overall our two nights were good room and property were very clean and there's a kitchen for food. A couple of points would be to have a blind on the bathroom door window mainly because the morning light comes in and wound add more privacy. Also we found the mattresses uncomfortable and springy so didn't get a great sleep but its a lovely property and would stay again if beds were comfier "

The property is conveniently located for visiting Alton Towers (less than a 10min drive). Would strongly recommend a stay at The Beehive Guest House if visiting the area."

"Stayed for 3 nights for a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast menu gave a very considerable choice (2 sides A4) of vegetarian breakfasts and excelled in variety, quantity and quality (am not personally a veggie!). Kingscroft has ample car parking and is around a 10/15 min walk to Buxton town centre. If you go do take your breakfast appetite with you. "

"The property was very clean. Price was in low range for the area. However, it said it sleeps 6. This can only be true if you are comfortable sharing an essentially twin bed on a sofa bed with someone. There is one very small bed that fits two adults tightly (pushed against wall so one has to climb over the sleeping partner to get out) and two very small sofa beds. Sofa beds did not have sheets though two pillows and duvet was provided. No heat in bathroom and heat was not on when we arrived. It...

"Excellent room & facilities. We stayed in the Cotton Mill room, with an amazing copper bath & walk in shower. NYE Dinner was fantastic, and a great breakfast the next morning topped off our stay. A truly lovely, relaxed atmosphere "

"We had a lovely but brief stay at Buxton. Alex was there to greet us with lots of suggestions for things to do. There are no surprises-the property is listed accurately. The beds are clean and the shower is hot!"

"Unable to be checked-in anytime after 4 p.m. when I arrived there. And also told by others who live there (not the owner) that my room will not have an en-suite bathroom either. "

"Had a whole holiday cottage to myself for the price of a hotel room. Really generous and varied breakfast provisions, with spacious kitchen and dining area to enjoy it in. With a washing machine and airer in the property, I was able to get a load of washing done overnight, as the cottage was really warm. The only negative was the WiFi, which I found very poor, and phone signal is limited too."
