"This was surely the best hotel in town when it opened. Showing signs of wear and tear (but so am I!), but still comfortable like an old sofa. The double room was spacious (by any standard, not just Japan), with room for a desk and chairs. Breakfast buffet was very good. Location overlooking the river, could walk to fish market for excellent sushi. "

"This is a very nice hotel, our room was spacious by Japanese standards, the staff were attentive and everything was very clean. The hot bath on the top floor was a great feature with it's views of the mountains around Kanazawa. "
