"Very clean and comfortable room close to Kyoto station. We felt that the room was a pretty good size compared to some other hotels in Japan, and found that the bathroom and room were very clean.
Being close to Kyoto station was convenient for taking trains to and from the city. We also appreciated the coin laundry machines in the building. One thing I would note about the area is that there are limited breakfast options, but plenty of food options for the rest of the day.

Every table is given a "Table Occupancy Card" where guests can comfortably leave the dining table without worrying that it's may be taken by another guest whole collecting food or waiters clearing the table when guests or when guests are not at the table but haven't leave the restaurant yet. Upon leaving, guests will return the card to the reception.
