Our room overlooked their beautiful garden filled with poison dart frogs, iguanas and various species of birds. We enjoyed daily breakfasts provided by the hotel, a complimentary welcome drink, happy hours, amenities and a quick walk to the beach and Cahuita National Park. "My biggest complaint with the place is that VRBO allowed the host to list a washer/dryer as an amenity when only a laundry service is available. Laundry services are available everywhere.Otherwise, everything was as expected. The rooms were clean. The host emailed back very quickly. Direction in Costa Rica are tricky, but the host chatted with me to make sure we got there and had someone show us around when we arrived. The house rules were simple and clear. It's really in the jungle so we had to be very careful with food which is perfectly fair. One thing worth noting is that when you leave the property you exit to a gravel road that feels more like an alleyway. It's not something I would downgrade the place for, but it is worth noting. We always felt safe but we traveled during rainy season and the gravel road was very muddy as we walked to the main road. If you rent a car, it may be less of an issue."

"The property is gorgeous, the view is even better. The bungalow was spacious, spotless, and had everything needed for a perfect retreat. Park your car and let Carlos drive up the harrowing hillside, you’ll thank me later! I came late in the season after a powerful thunderstorm so the pool was closed, also there were no other guests, made for a lonely stay."
