Talley's Cabins' and Breakfast is a privately owned getaway nestled in the hills of Northeast Tennessee (Upper Cumberland Plateau). Comfortable, clean, and quaint. We are located in Hilham, TN in Clay County. This cabin is located on 47 acres that includes trails for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. There are multiple creeks and waterfalls on the property.

Some nearby attractions include Dale Hollow Lake, Mitchell Creek Marina, Standing Stone State Park, Cummins Falls State Park and we are only 20 minutes away from three quaint county seats: Celina, Gainesboro and Livingston. The larger town of Cookeville is 45 minutes away.


This Cabin includes:

We are in small, peaceful and secluded county. There are no interstates or major airports in our area. The Dale Hollow Lake area is truly a hidden secret and gem. Local TN folks knows just how beautiful the rolling hills and lake is. We are about 20 mins from the marina.

2.If you are GPS’ing your directions to us: Use 764 Hickory Lane, Hilham Tn.

3.It is always easier getting here in the daylight. These country roads are kinda dark at night

4.Please note there are no close-by grocery stores, so you may want to bring grocery’s with you, instead of getting here and then heading back out to a store (about 20 mins).

5.Cell service is extremely limited on the drive in; AT&T is non-existent, although a bar or two once at the cabin. Other providers are spotty.

Our area does not house the standard local chains/commerce. This is no hustle or bustle here :) Our local commerce are Mom&Pop shops offering the essentials and a heaping of country charm and hospitality.

As you drive down the gravel road of Hickory Lane, look for a large 6' tin rooster on your right by a large painted rock with our logo and sign on it. Turn Right onto gravel driveway and drive straight going through the red cattle gates. Drive straight down the driveway staying to your Right. At the bottom of the driveway turn Left and go straight to cabin #1 which just past the red barn.

Cozy Cabin

This was our second time staying here and once again we loved it. It’s such a peaceful cabin with everything you could ever want. The hot tub was the perfect night cap to long cold fishing days. We look forward to staying here again!

We had a nice, relaxing stay and enjoyed the hot tub. It was very quiet and tucked away from the city, but not too far out. We were provided treats and breakfast foods. And, the bed was so comfortable!

We had a great time getting away from the daily stresses of life. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the trails and hot tub. Bed was cozy. I love chickens and was tickled with the farm fresh eggs left in our cabin for breakfast! We are already planning to return!

Peaceful!!

We came down for our 1st anniversary. It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit, and the porch swing was great in the morning to sit and read a book and enjoy my tea!

Fantastic cabin!

It will a lovely cabin set back in a peaceful woods. We really enjoyed the drive back to it. The bed was very comfortable. We only met Steve but he was very nice. The breakfast they provide from Dana’s dishes were excellent especially the Blueberry Puff. I could eat that every day!

Cabin in the woods

Lovely cabin in the middle of the woods. It's a good drive if you want to go anywhere, but it's great for hiking or just hanging out in the hot tub. Fresh eggs in the morning, good internet, and lots of solitude; this worked quite well for me,

A little slice of heaven

This is the second time we have stayed at Talley’s Cabins, but it won’t be our last! We LOVE it here. It’s a beautiful location, and it’s perfect for our long weekend getaways. The Talleys are always the perfect hosts and provide the cleanest property, the best breakfast items, and the easiest check in and check out processes. We have not been disappointed with anything ever. We will absolutely find a way to get back here before summer! (And maybe during summer!) Don’t miss out on this gem!

Cozy Romantic Getaway

My husband and I were looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle. We ended up finding much more than that! Steve and Dana's property is beautiful and private. The cabin was beyond perfect with hot tub, porch swing, hammock, and fire pit. The homemade breakfast berry puff was just the cherry on top, a very delicious bonus. This was probably the first vacation we have ever come home and felt truly well-rested. We cannot thank Steve and Dana enough for the most romantic and relaxing getaway we have ever had!

Absolutely beautiful property.

My wife and I stayed in Cabin 1, which was very private, for our first anniversary weekend. Talley's definitely exceeded our expectations. Cabin 1 had an extremely comfortable king size Tempur-Pedic bed, full kitchen, dinning table, couch, and TV. Oh, and a free breakfast too. The farm fresh eggs and blueberry puff were delicious. Outside there was a hammock, fire pit, Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and a hot tub. There were walking trails right outside the cabin. Our only regret is that we didn't think of taking an anniversary trip sooner so we could have stayed longer. We'd love to go back again sometime, but we'll book in advance so we can stay a week or so because the weekend wasn't long enough. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway.

Little piece of perfection

We wanted a quick getaway to escape the city and explore some of the small town charm in Livingston and Gainesboro. Hilham is perfectly located within minutes of each of them, and the Talleys have the best cabin for privacy and relaxation. The cabin was adorably decorated for Valentine’s Day, and it was very, very clean. There were fresh eggs, blueberry fluff, and tons of snacks when we arrived. The Talleys went out of there way to make us feel so welcome! We grilled out and made a fire both nights, and woke up to have coffee on the porch and listen to nature. So perfect! We even met the cat, Ms, Kitty. She was the cutest thing! Even though we were on their property, we felt completely secluded and secure. So much so that we are already planning a trip back in the late spring.
