"The overall stay at Purbeck House was okay. We had a very interesting mini tour with Alex. Our room was on two levels and very spacious . It would have benefitted from some artwork on the walls. Also, a proper bathmat. I nearly slipped over getting out of the bath as the textured surface is small. The shower gel bottles are a waste of time. "The hotel is a lovely old building with a lot of nice features. Our room was on the 2nd floor and fortunately there is a tiny ancient lift that is just big enough for 2 people and a suitcase, the room was 'cosy' but big enough, the ensuite had a good shower with somewhere for your shampoo etc if you didn't want to use theirs, it could have done with a hook nearby for your towel but that's my only minor complaint. Eg hairdryer broke down immediately and no-one on desk. You get what you pay for which is fair, but minimal. It’s really look after yourself AB&B. Would I stay again. Yes if budget was the big issue. No if we wanted atmosphere and attention."
