"This is a beautiful spot! It rained and stormed our entire weekend there but we were still able to sit under the gazebo on the dock and have a relaxing weekend away. The host was courteous and allowed us our privacy but was available if needed. The neighbor was kind as well. They left us a basket of snacks and a couple of bottles of water which was appreciated since we arrived later in the evening. The living area is well equipped and has everything you may need. "Great boat traffic from the kitchen table windows. We watched men catching fish within 1 minute of casting. The Birds were abundant chirping loud. It rained our 3 days we were there but it did not stop us from kayaking or renting a Pontoon Boat at Play and Stay on Lake Norman it was 1 mile away and we drove the boat right up to our rental house. "Thoroughly enjoyed the stay there. Porch view was very relaxing. New kitchen & new bathrooms were very nice.The owner was very prompt on any questions/concerns. It is short 4 mile drive into Troutman & State Park is approx 3 miles away to visit."
