"We had a wonderful stay at this home. The dock was awesome and well stocked with all kinds of toys for the kids to play on. The house itself was very clean and well stocked. I particularly appreciated the kitchen that had everything that you needed as far as utensils dinnerware, glassware and pots and pans, etc. The property is quite steep. So if you have trouble handling stairs, it's probably not the property for you. Our family will definitely consider renting this property again. Thank you so much for the attention that you put into this property and management."

"The only drawback I was unaware of prior to the stay was there would be no towels. The 10 min drive to Food Lion is convenient if you forget anything. Everything else was great as described, excellent communication with Jack prior to stay and flexibility for check-in. Inside the home was clean, no sign of any pests during stay. I would absolutely stay again and recommend for others."

"We had a wonderful two weeks at Smith Mountain Lake in Drift Away. The house was a great size for our large family and the dock area was great for swimming and fishing. We brought our boat and had a blast touring the lake and doing water sports! Nice hot tub, comfy beds and beautiful views!"

"We had a group including my family of three, my wife’s two sisters and their significant others. We had tons of room to spread out and loved relaxing on the large deck with lake views and the floating dock provided hours of fun swimming in the lake and catching small fish off the dock. I brought my 21’ Pontoon which tied up nicely to the dock cleats! The cove is nice and quiet and doesn’t receive tons of wakes in the little corner. The king bed in the basement was comfortable! I slept great every night. It’s clear this house has been very loved and cared for in its lifetime! Pro tip: there’s a table that folds down from the wall (above and next to the couch) that’s perfect for setting up a food buffet! "
"Really Great Property and very clear instructions related to checkin/checkout, living in the property. Great space, well kept, comfortable with plenty of inhouse activities in the basement such as ping pong. Only very minor negatives that didn't take away from overall experience: It would have been extra nice if the porch next to the kitchen was screened-in. We couldn't figure out to get the basement TV to work for DVD movie night which was too bad since there is a great collection of DVD's. The master bedroom mattress is surprisingly very hard which wasn't all that bad since I like mattresses to be that way, but seriously hard. It would have been nice if the bunkbed room had a ceiling fan. We had a fantastic time on the lake and the location of the dock was surprisingly not crazy busy with Drifter's and the marina nearby. We would stay here again without second thought."
"We had a wonderful 7-day stay at this fantastic vacation home on Smith Mountain Lake. The house was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. One of our favorite spots was the screened-in porch—everyone enjoyed spending time there.Having two kitchens was a big advantage for preparing large family meals, and the egg grill was in great condition—we used it to cook one night and it worked perfectly. The house was well-stocked with cooking utensils, which made meal prep even easier.The dock was a highlight! We spent evenings fishing and enjoyed swimming in the lake during the day. There were chairs available, though we brought our own, and the swing chair on the dock was a favorite with everyone.The owners were attentive and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Overall, we highly recommend booking this home for your next getaway—it's a great place to relax and enjoy the lake!"

"We loved the open concept kitchen, dining table, and family room. We were all together when we were inside. We also played games in the evening on the deck off the main floor. We were happy to have plenty of chairs and invited friends from a couple coves down to play "Mind the Gap" in our generational teams. I was glad I didn't bring my elderly mother this year because she could not have navigated the steps. For the rest of us, our legs are stronger! "
