To the side of the cottage is an enclosed lawned garden with lovely surrounding views, set with table and chairs, ideal to sit and enjoy a meal or simply relax to the sounds of the countryside. For the safety of children, please note that as the property is roadside, children must be supervised when playing in the garden.
Walks and cycle routes from the door, Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park and the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap are around 6 miles. South View is just 3½ miles from the Route 72 Cycleway from which to enjoy the spectacular countryside. A visit to the historic market town of Hexham is a must, boasting a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river.
