"Just returned from a brilliant two night stay at The Relais, despite the endless rain. We were joined by family who were celebrating a special birthday and they were so delighted that we had chosen this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much trouble and you feel really at home in such a nice atmosphere. They were all so cheery, friendly and welcoming. We felt sad leaving them which is a real sign of exceptional customer service. The manager, Andrew, was very visible, friendly and so helpful, pre-empting our needs and going the extra mile for us which was very much appreciated. I would strongly recommend the restaurant, Dominic Chapman too. The four of us had dinner there on our first night, with superb food. Some creative choices along with nice touches. A well selected wine list with lots of choice, and lovely attentive staff. We also had a great breakfast on both mornings. A great selection of dishes, excellent quality ingredients, delicious pancakes and excellent hash brown. It’s a lovely property right by the river, immaculate, with beautiful decor and a really nice riverside walk right outside your door. We are looking forward to returning later this year and highly recommend. "

"The historic inn areas are beautiful with much wood and thoughtful touches, furniture and decor combines comfort and aesthetics. The garden is a peaceful haven with lots of space and flowers... and Thames footpath is very close by. The only issue was that our room was not ready on time but the above-and-beyond helpful staff more than made up for the inconvenience and we had a delightful wait in the garden. They do do remarkable service running front desk, bar, gourmet restaurant (the Scarlet Pimpernel could not have asked for a better supper). Definitely get the breakfast option! "
