"Quaint, older hotel right in the heart of the cathedral square. Great service. Room had a lot of space. Clean and comfortable. Solid breakfast included. No air conditioning, but a big fan and all of the windows opened to allow a lot of cool air. Some street noise later into the summer nights, which I liked. No lift. Had to port luggage up stairs. No PSD ports, so just use an adapter. "

"What a beautiful town and a beautiful hotel. I highly recommend for your stay in Heidelberg, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly - perhaps the best staff we encountered during a 10 day 5 city EU tour. The hotel is very close to all the attractions and dinning options, room was spacious and clean. It's not a modern hotel, but it's not a modern city. "

"We were very pleased by our stay at the Altstaft. It is a small boutique hotel that isn’t fancy but it is in great condition, super clean and in a great location near Bismarckplatz, transportation and the Main Street for shopping and dining. Walkable in 15 minutes to the funicular to get to Schloss Heidelberg. Would go back for sure."

"Horrible hair dryer. have to push a button. For me it took over an hour. finger so sore. i have thick curly hair to blow dry. no full length mirror annoying. i am 5 feet tall very hard with glasses -7 to reach mirror in bathroom. The floors need to be refinished. Room 118. no phone no usb to charge. Over priced for quality. hard bed. It was close to castle and old town walk around. Restaurant. next to it expensive but worth it. Staff super friendly. We had no wifi. couldnt plan our trip...
