About this property
Stay in a grand old house, close to Hebden Bridge with parking & pet friendly.
* The Fold is part of an Edwardian mill owner's house, quietly overlooking the Calder Valley yet really close to the exciting town of Hebden Bridge. The Fold is a beautifully renovated apartment providing everything you need, including free parking and is pet friendly. It's less than half a mile walk into the centre of town so it's nice and quiet but handy too.
* Enjoy Happy Valley from a stay in The Fold, which offers spacious accommodation for up to three people (if using the sofa bed in the same room). The bespoke library shelves house a folding double bed, hence the apartment's name! The central sections of the shelves slide apart to reveal the bed, which easily folds away so you can enjoy the spacious lounge during the rest of your stay.
* Sitting on the hill with great views and a private garden, quietly close to Hebden Bridge and below the Heptonstall cliffs The Fold is on the edge of gorgeous woodland and countryside. It's a great place to use as a base to explore everything the area has to offer from shopping to cycling, hiking, beer tasting or just chillaxing.
* As well as having Hebden Bridge to visit on the doorstep, The Fold is surrounded by vast and beautiful woodland and moorland walks, drives and cycle rides.
* The nicest route into Hebden from the Fold is along the well-kept canal path accessed through a gap in the wall opposite Mytholm Lane. This takes you past a lock and bang into the heart of the town by the Trades Club, Post Office and Little Theatre or you can carry on right to the station.
* The Fold sits at the foot of Heptonstall's escarpment, which provides for great (and sometimes challenging) walks including up into the Colden Valley, past the New Delight Inn and out on to the Pennine Way above Slack and Heptonstall.
* The Fold is also at the bottom of 'Mytholm Steeps', which featured in the Tour de Yorkshire and so is popular with cyclists. It has to be said that the Steeps is a challenging hill, even in a car, maybe especially in a car if you meet someone coming the other way! However it is worth going up there if only for the views across the very top of God's Own Country - head out towards Burnley and gasp at the views over the moors. You could even stop for a reviver in the Kettle Drum pub at the end of that moor road, which doe good food and is pet friendly.
* There are numerous pubs, cafes and unique shops in and around Hebden Bridge with always a lot going on. The Fox & Goose is just up the road towards Hebden and unusual by being a community owned pub with a great selection of real ale and wine. If you're lucky you might even catch some live music either here or at the Trades Club in the centre of town. You can be assured of meeting lots of friendly interesting people with always something going on to enjoy. We hope you will decide to stay with us and enjoy everything this area has to offer.

The flat was beautiful, it had everything we needed and more, the welcome goodies provided by Melanie were a lovely touch. The views are spectacular and it’s a lovely walk into the centre of Hebden Bridge, or a steep walk up into Heptonstall. Perfect location!
Great little place, stayed for the weekend.
Close to bars and restaurants in town, one of the few places with parking and nice little sunny outdoor area.
A great location for walks and cycles, away from the parking challenge of the town but an easy walk in for the shops, bars and restaurants. Melanie was very welcoming and the wine and homemade cake was a lovely touch. Recommended.
Great place to stay and great facilties in the house. This is such a good area to stay - it's possible to walk to the hills, walk to he pubs and shops and restaurants and get a train here too.
Lovely location . Good facilities. Comfortable . Light with good views . Just right place for us as near family in the area and places to visit and spectacular walks .
We are so glad we found this place. We were unwell and tired after a bike tour and this place was just what we needed. Some extra space compared to a hotel room and situated in an iconic town
We were 3 adults and a dog and we fit perfectly in this cute flat. The location was perfect, an easy walk into downtown Hebden Bridge, and parking was great. Close to Hardcastle Crags and Gibson Mill, which are lovely hikes too. Excellent hosts too!
We had a fantastic time staying in this property. The host (Melanie) was very helpful and her instructions to get into the property were spot on. It was clean, comfortable and a perfect location for exploring that area. I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. It is ideal for couples.
The Fold is a lovely flat, perfect for a long weekend away for my husband and I. Everything we needed was provided in the flat along with some extra treats which was a lovely touch.
The flat was very clean and comfortable, and communication with the owner was great. The flat is in walking distance to the lovely town of Hebden Bridge where there are some nice bars and restaurants.
Thank you, we would definitely recommend!

Excellent! A real gem of a place to stay - spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished....we were a last minute booking and really appreciated Melanie ensuring we could check-in on time - the tasty parkin left for us in the kitchen was a lovely surprise - much enjoyed by this Yorkshireman!
The 'library bed' was intriguing and amazingly comfortable. One of the best self-catering places we've stayed in - we'll stay again.
The property is clean, tidy and well maintained. Kitchen has everything you may need(dishwasher, decent cooker etc). Living room has a nice sofa, books, board games and some local info for those that need it. Plenty of space for the 2 of us and our dog with some nice walks straight out of the door. It’s just far enough out of the Village to feel more private but close enough to walk in for food, drinks or just a look around. Host is fantastic - great communication, friendly and put some wine/chocolate and banana bread out for us which was a lovey surprise.
Melanie is a star and the apartment, on the ground floor, is really well placed with an outside courtyard for the dog and to have your morning coffee. The view is fantastic. The luxury little touches that Melanie has put in the kitchen and bathroom are lovely. No need to take the usual milk, tea, coffee, salt , oil etc and no need for flannels, shampoo, conditioner, make up remover pads etc. The bed pulls down from behind the bookcase and the mattress is of high quality and very comfortable. It’s a short walk into Hebden, we chose to walk via the canal, which is full of cafe, restaurants, bars, artisan shops and an open air market. We found the people of Hebden to be very helpful and kind and most places are dog friendly. The walks are on your doorstep or you can drive further afield. It’s very beautiful and tranquil and we will definitely visit again to stay at Melanie’s hideaway. The local businesses prefer cash if you have it as they have to pay transaction fees every time you ‘tap’ and they are all small businesses.
Had a lovely stay, very cosy. Fold down bed in main living room but this worked well for us and was easy to use. Great views and all the amenities you would need. Very easy to check in too and lovely short walk into Hebdon Bridge which is lovely, with fab shops, cafes and restaurants - great vibe! Thank you x
A stunning place in a fantastic place, ideal for the canal side walk into Hebden Bridge. Host was faultless and nice touches with the welcome package. Sorry we did not sign the visifors book as we packed and left with a gap in the rain showers.
