"The room was very clean as were the reception and stairway but the rest of the hotel is still being refurbed, the bar was closed with no access to any food or drink. I am sure it will be very nice when it is finished. The staff were very helpfull."

"Easy to park and discounted rate if you pay at reception... warm welcome .... room was large and well maintained. Food in restaurant was good and breakfast also goo - broad spread. (only 2 beers on tap, only downside!). Very good value. "

"All good, but air con not working in room. Staff were excellent as initially gave me a joining room where I could hear everything the neighbours were saying. They immediately moved us to a new room, upgrading to an executive room. Very helpful "

"We had 2 good nights sleep! For the price we paid it was fine- the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was clean and plenty of tea/coffee provided. The room could have done with a little updating, for example the cover of the headboard had been stapled on, and something had come off of the wall, leaving ripped wallpaper and a hole behind. I’m also not sure I agree with having to pay for parking (this charge is mentioned up front so it wasn’t a surprise) - they offer free parking if you book with them directly but then the room cost is significantly higher. We ate at the bar one evening- the restaurant does fill up so definitely worth booking in advance if you don’t want to sit in the bar area (especially worth noting on Saturday which is karaoke night, very loud!). Food was nice and good portion size. Overall we had a pleasant stay. "

"I would recommend this beautiful home to a friend. Parking of 2 cars was easy, very quiet surroundings, lovely garden and the rooms were spacious. The utility room was idea with a washing and a separate dryer, the kitchen has many large cupboards for storage. "
