"Fantastic setting . Old school charm . Friendly staff ."

"From the minute we stepped inside we were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The rooms were clean and roomy. The food was excellent and the dining room service was excellent…..evening meal and breakfast. The views were incredible, the location was beautiful. Would definitely stay again and would definite, recommend, 100%."

"Comfy bed"

"The Skipton Hotel was well appointed for a short towpath walk to Skipton centre. It had a lovely view, staff were generally helpful, and breakfast was fine. Our room though (a studio on floor 5) was baking hot and when we complained about this we got given an extra fan. It wasn't just that the weather was hot (it was) but the generators and other plant equipment sent heat through the floor into the room making it sauna like. We feel we should have asked to be moved but didn't want to complain...

"No real ale mainly lager"

"My room looked like they had just changed the bedding and even that had black hairs on it (im fair haired). Hairs in the bath , toothpaste all up the bathroom mirror and on the floor like it had dripped out of someones mouth and dried. Should have read the reviews . Wont make that mistake again."

"Staff and room were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Comfortable bed. There's some design flaws, for example you can't fill the kettle up at the sink without the water coming out as you try to extract it. Nothing major though. It's not that pet friendly. It would have been nice to have a drink in the bar but that would have meant leaving the dog in the car so we went somewhere else for a drink."

"We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really."
