"Despite Hurricane Lala’s attempts to keep us from this magical and lovely Sacred Valley location (power was out for a few days but returned the morning of our arrival— we needed a working fridge for medication storage) we enjoyed two blissful days in this rustic locale. Katlyn worked hard to communicate about the power issues and was gracious about a possible refund if we needed to find somewhere else on the North Shore. Luckily, it all worked out. Headlines: shower is amazing. Tankless water heater means that two weary hikers/swimmers/explorers can experience a lovely hot shower at the end of the day. Bed is queen sized and in the loft, up five stairs. This is a screened in cabin and so there’s no a/c (obv) but a fan kept us totally cool at night after the sun sets behind the mountain ridge that is just behind the cabin. It is surrounded by sugar cane and with other tiny homes on the property (check out the Rasta Bus) and down the same road is an (off limits, but viewable) Buddhist Temple. Very peaceful and quiet. Small details make this place shine: nice plates and a good toaster oven and hot plate to cook meals. Fridge is dorm-sized, but plenty big enough to stow a few days supplies. Compostable toilet is easy to use. We listened to the birds calling in the morning and a ten minute walk down to the beach every morning means you get to watch the sunrise over the water and then watch the sun set over the ridge from bed."

"Our visit to the islands was significantly impacted by Hurricane Lala. Our flight from Maui to Oahu was cancelled twice. After a day and a half delay in getting a flight we were able to get to Oahu. We had contacted the host several times to keep her updated on our travel plans. She was quite accomodating to our situation and offered us a partial refund of our payment due to only being able to stay in the unit 1 night instead of the 23 nights we had planned on being their. Also due to Lala, the unit had no electricity when we arrived. the host provided several battery powered lights to help us get around the unit. the host did allow us to check out 2 hours late so that we could take in one more attraction before our departure. Jacqie was great."

"The house was perfect for our family. The views were amazing. Having the water in walking distance from the back yard was the icing on the cake. Wade was very accommodating and communicated well. This was our family’s first time in Hawaii. It was definitely memorable and we will be back."

"Worth every penny! Beautiful place, stunning views, having a private beach is everything. Everyone was kind, respectful and pleasant. Meeting Chris in person was nice and she was so helpful throughout the process. She left a book that other guest wrote helpful hints and things they have done and tried which was extremely helpful and made it more enjoyable. The place is so cute throughout, clean, and comfortable. Did I say “the view” haha from the lanai , wow, absolutely gorgeous. We highly recommend!Ramos Family-Los Angeles, California"

"I absolutely loved the location and the balconies -- outstanding! The master bedroom air conditioner stopped working the last two nights, but the ocean breeze was more than enough. Also, the kitchen and the living room, both bathrooms and the washer and dryer are very nice. But the first problem was that upon arrival, the condo was not stocked with clothes washing detergent, dishwasher detergent or the necessary sponge/scrubber to wash the pans or a wash cloth to wipe down the kitchen, despite being instructed by the owners to run the dishwasher, wash the towels and wipe down the kitchen counters every day. We had to call, and they were brought the third day of our trip. The main problem is the first floor bedroom. The floor air conditioner blew hot air and was massively loud and couldn't be used. The louvered window opens to the outside walkway where a light shines all night. And in order to have a breeze, you must hold the heavy curtains back, which was difficult, and then people can see you. And you must also keep that bedroom door open for the breeze to come through that bedroom. So privacy is a problem from the outside and inside. And despite doing those things, my son and daughter-in-law said it was still too hot to sleep well. It created an unfortunate family squabble as to who had to suffer sleeping in the hot bedroom. I paid over 8,000 for six nights, and that third bedroom was a huge problem for that price. But the ocean view, WOW!"

"The place came with everything you might want when going on a trip from cooler, beach chairs, all amenities and even washer and dryer inside unit. It was nice having beach in backyard and food nearby. Only downside is there was not many but a few roaches and parking can be tough inside the hotels parking lot. There is multiple places to park very close to hotel so that’s not too bad."
