"To start, this trip was so my daughter and I could visit the college she will be attending in the fall after driving 11 hours. I arrive to a parking lot that has more empty spaces then full, the check in process was smooth the staff were fine. I get checked in and wait for what may be the longest elevator ever and as you’re waiting it makes the most god awe full sound. I finally get to my room only to find out I have one bed now I go back down stairs and will I’m waiting I hear some of the staff talk about a flooding now I get to the counter and explain the problem I then get told they have no double bed rooms because they were double booked. I then get told they can give me a cot, I explain that’s fine however I’m not paying the full price this is not what was agreed upon. The person at the counter was helpful and I explained that this is problem for the manager to solve. I was told she was on the phone and I patiently waited when Mary the worst manager that has no business being one. Comes out and I explain the situation to her response theirs nothing we can do, we don’t give discounts. I was told to pretty much deal with or get my money back and go find another hotel and when I asked for a corporate number I was told to google it. Don’t recommend the comfort inn at auburn Massachusetts "

"The property didn't feel safe, let alone friendly. The building is in terrible shape and the clientele is questionable. I felt uncomfortable immediately. When I go to the front desk (in a dark, smelly office) , the attendant told me he needed to change my room because I booked an accessible room and that there would be a room change charge. I agreed to that, but then the total charge was significantly higher than what I booked . Because he "had to" change my room, he did not have to honor the price when I initially booked through Expedia. Another person sitting in the office told me that the desk attendant did the same thing to him. I ended up leaving and staying at a different hotel. I almost never leave reviews but this experience was so awful. I don't understand how this place has so many stars. "

"Room was clean, but the bathroom is showing signs of decay. Staff is very attentive. It is right by a highway, so it can get noisy. Breakfast was the worst I have ever had in a hotel. Rubbery bland eggs, stale hash browns, the pastries seemed as if they had been old, refrigerated and were very bland. Even the juices were bad."
