"We had to wait untill after 3pm to check-in.. we arrived at 2.30 but had to wait.. The Wi-Fi was no good from our Room it was non existent .. but our room was lovely & clean "

"The staff were delightful - young, enthusiastic and helpful at all times. The room was spacious but showing some signs of the age and maintenance burden of such a large old , but nothing too obvious. The lift was a wonder - long waits at busy times, 2 people plus luggage and sounding like a dumb waiter. It was not clear why the HP sauce bottles at breakfast were only available on request - is there a shortage?"

"Very friendly, helpful staff. Location beside the A61 road requires some care when leaving northward. Small green 'pilot' light in our room ceiling, near the door, on all night and slightly irritating."

"This hotel had great character, the rooms are decorated nicely, very quirky. The hotel has a nice little bar and the food was great. One of the nights had a Live singer and they were awesome. Overall it was a great experience and all the staff were great too."

The only thing that we found with room as it was on the 3rd level the furniture layout was a bit cramped and also as we are of a age of 75 felt getting in and out of the bath for either a bath or a shower the height of the bath somewhat high to get in and out of.But apart from these minor things we found the hotel was fantastic and just right to the main town area."
