"Good budget hotel "

"We received a very warm welcome and an upgrade as it was our wedding anniversary. Lovely large room which was very comfortable and extremely clean. Swimming pool was a bonus. The restaurant is very good. The staff are all fantastic. I would recommend this hotel. "

"The Normanton Park hotel was excellent. The experience with Expedia and our original hotel booking was terrible. We booked several weeks in advance and had a confirmed booking by Expedia at the other hotel, the booking was cancelled at short notice by a phone call from the hotel. It took me 3 hours on the phone to get Expedia to find us another hotel in the area. The original hotel was no help at all, Expedia suggested we call the hotel direct and rebook at a higher cost. Expedia & the other hotel terrible. Normanton Park hotel excellent."

"We loved the colourful, quirky decor and the fantastic food. It's very convenient for Bingham station and Bingham is a good base for exploring the Vale of Belvoir. Very relaxing and friendly. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - really nice people. The room was really pretty and well appointed with kettle etc."

"It was all wonderful right from the check-in, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a well lit and very tastefully decorated and sizeable room, with comfortable beds, two small armchairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was well appointed with a bath and a large shower head. There were some nice extra touches as well, a small bottle of milk on arrival and later in the stay, plus bottled water, plenty of teabags etc. The food at breakfast was very nice too. The situation is marvellous, a short walk to the High Street and the Wetherspoons and other pubs/restaurants. Stamford is a lovely town with a great atmosphere and a park very near the centre. Burghley House is a short drive or a walk of just a few miles if you are a lot younger than us! We didn't get to Rutland Water, but we will go next time - because we definitely want to go back. All in all a brilliant break, hopefully to be repeated a few times at least. "
