"Very helpful signs to hotel after leaving motorway. Easy parking. Comfortable beds and pillows. Sloping ceiling in part of bedroom hazardous for taller people. Bedside lights awkward to reach once in bed. Tea tray a challenge to find and get out from floor level. Very hospitable staff and enjoyable dinner from carvery."

"We stayed in room 101. The room itself was good but the balcony had not been cleaned as a Yorkshire teabag was stuck on the wall and there was lots of bird poo on the seats. The glass surrounding the balcony could of done with a clean. The balcony rooms cost extra so the balcony should of been cleaned. The rest of the stay was exceptional."

"Lovely stay at the Barn in Whixley. The barn was immaculately clean, had a fabulous layout with bedrooms downstairs very modern but with character. Michelle the host was very friendly and informative. The barn is very well located, would defiantly recommend and would return again."

"We visited for the May Bank holiday. Excellent large property for our group of 23 (including 13 kids aged 5-15). Fun games room and large kitchen in red barn for gathering together for meals. Everything we needed was provided. Situated in a lovely village (with a well-stocked, independent village shop) with many beautiful places to visit nearby (we went to Fountains Abbey on a lovely sunny day)."

"We had a pleasant stay overall. The house was clean and tidy, with a good heating system that kept the place comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with enough utensils for cooking, which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed the Jacuzzi during our stay. The only feedback we would mention is that it was sometimes difficult to reach the host when needed. Additionally, the shower in the bathroom did not have enough water pressure. Aside from these points, we had a nice stay and appreciated the comfort of the house."
