  • I would not usually consider a garden a must-see experience, but I am really glad a local told us to visit Hamilton Gardens. The experience of wandering through a maze of hedges that open into perfectly cultivated gardens plucked complete from other countries and other eras was quite possibly the closest I will ever come to feeling like Alice in Wonderland come to life. You never know what magical sight waits around the next bend in the path.

staff were wonderful, rooms were functional and clean, and the fridge was a really good size to keep water and drinks cold. Beds were firm but not hard. the property was advertised as having a pool, but it was not full and working, or clean

The staff were very welcoming when we arrived which was nice. The room was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet and we slept well.

Not great to see a Police car there talking to people in the next unit. Unit was very clean and tidy and updated nicely, but the beds were very hard and I was awoken by the people in the unit next door arguing at 1.30am. More soundproofing between units?

Should have been renovated many years ago. Everything operated as it should, staff were freindly and the room looked okay from outside. The room however needed dragging out of the 80,s. I suspect there is no need to renovate due to the motels position near to major sporting arenas. No reason for the owners to let the room descend into such a shabby state.

Close to Claudelands Arena

STayed here for the night of the Foreigner Concert as motel was close to the venue. Found the bed rather hard and the sheets kind of stiff and unfortunately being in a downstairs unit we heard the noises of people in the unit above us, so it's not very soundproof.

Comfortable room in handy location.

Room was spacious and clean with a good shower. Though close to a main road, rooms were situated far enough back so that there was minimal road noise. Close enough to walk to the city. I would stay here again.
