"No parking on site. Rooms are old but seems renovated recently. Rooms are not sound proof. You can hear noise from restaurant and bar downstairs till 11:30pm when they close it. Good for couple of days. Location of the hotel is good. Staff is very courteous and nice. "

"Truly the best property in Portree. Yes you are outside of town centre, but it is within a 10 minute walk which we easily did a few times. The hotel was incredible. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the pictures do not do it justice ! It is by far one of the most romantic places I’ve stayed . Of course ,the weather was amazing when we went ;but it was so cozy and charming , especially waking up to the sunrise . The room was clean and efficient, all we really needed . Very sleek...

"Small family owned hotel. Located in a remote location, so very peaceful and quiet. In the evening there is a nice fireplace in the lounge. Perfect for a quick pre or post dinner hangout on a chilly night. Drive to the hotel is filled with scenic views of the water, rolling hills dotted with grazing sheep! "Great staff, friendly and efficient. Good wines and dinners. Breakfast - full Scottish- huge! But other options easily enjoyed too. Porridge could have been creamier - ask for it to be made with milk. Lovely view. Would be nice to have a lounge area to enjoy a drink before dinner or coffee afterwards either one of the whisky’s on offer."

"Quiet, beautiful setting on the bay while sheep graze. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cold breakfast was quite large, with a variety of meats and cheese, fresh vegetables and fruit, cereal and muffins. The bed was a little hard and it would have been nice to have something to place our toiletry kit in the bathroom.We loved the towel warmer!"

"We enjoyed the quiet location and it was an ideal spot for exploring the highlights of the Isle of Skye. The location needs a bigger sign to indicate the driveway. We had to ask some strangers for directions when we were trying to find it. We could also have used a bit more toilet paper and towels. The pillows in the room with the double bed were thin and unsupportive. Apart from this we had a pleasant stay."

"Tricia was so lovely and accomodating! The place is perfect and spotless. Tricia recommended the Quiraing trail and it was easily the top 3 hikes we’ve done gobally! It’s also super close to the accommodation which makes it easy to get an early start. Would highly recommend a stay here for anything on Skye"
