"The breakfast was good, but the bread selection wasn’t. The snacks in the guest lobby was always finished, because they kept giving small portions and very few ones too. The options for vegetarians was minimal. Room service took an hour just for dessert and then when we called them to take the trolley, they took around half an hour. When they cleaned our room they mixed all our products together including our used water bottles together, which is unhygienic and messy. We kept our products on different sides of the sink so we wouldn’t mix them up, but they decided to rearrange it they way they liked. They’re only supposed to clean! We initially had a room with a view of the pagoda, but it was covered with all the construction within the hotel that we didn’t even open our curtains."

"The rooms were clean and large for Japan standards. My family and I also appreciate the free drinks in the lobby (e.g., coffee, hot cocoa, matcha) and the closets to store your luggage in case you arrived too early for check in or were leaving later than your check out time. Very close and convenient to Kyoto station! Would recommend."
