Today we visited Rhododendron Park. Last year we were too late for blossom. This year timing was right.

The park’s official name is Alppiruusupuisto, Rhododendron Park, It is also known as Rodopuisto or Rhodopuisto. It is an eight-hectare area, which was originally bog. There´s also original plants pine, birch, bilberry and wild rosemary which is a relative to rhododendron.

"Interesting property both outside and in the rooms. Location was great for us as it was on a main road from the airport to the city. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious but you need to upgrade from the standard ones to cater for international passengers and their baggage. Best of all was the fantastic hot tub, spa and pool area. Sat outside in the snow in the hot tub-what a great memory."
