"Nice good size room. Comfortable bed. The duvet was too hot in the summer. Good cleaning service, even left the cleaning cloth in the room. Still using small shampoo bottles, not eco friendly. Towels don't need to be changed after every use, especially when you forget to leave a new towel. £ 50 deposit is annoying. Needed to ask for the free beverage that was included, better to just give a voucher when checking in."

"This is a lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are clean and well kept. The breakfast has a great choice and hot food English breakfast is well cooked. It can be busy but a wait for more food or a seat is not too long. The tables were cleaned quickly and the staff working here were all pleasant and helpful. After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel.
It's set in a small, quiet village near the river.
We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent
