This Gulf Shores Vacation Rental is a gulf front 2 bedroom 2 bath unit that sleeps 7. The master bedroom has a King with a semi private bathroom, the guest bedroom has a full and a Twin with a private bathroom and there is a Queen sofa in the living room. This Island Winds East unit offers a full kitchen for ease of cooking your own meals or if cooking is not in your vacation plans then you are in luck because you are also within walking distance to many of Gulf Shores finest restaurants. You also have a washer and dryer in this unit. You have an awesome view from your gulf front balcony of our Gulf Shores sugar white beaches, emerald green waters and the gulf front pool. If you enjoy cooking out there are several charcoal grills located just north of the pool. This is a prime location to be since you are only a few blocks from the main intersection at Hwy 59, especially if you are coming for The National Shrimp Festival or The Hangout Music Festival. FREE WIFI. This Gulf Shores Vacation Condo is located at 333 West Beach Blvd. This is a non-smoking, no pet unit. NO PETS! PARKING PASS MUST BE PURCHASED USING THE PARKING PORTAL. Limit 1 vehicle per unit. No trailers.

Island Winds East has a new registration system for parking passes. The Property Manager will register your reservation and then you will receive an email to complete registration and pay for parking. You will be sent an email with a barcode to provide upon your arrival at Island Winds East in order to retrieve your parking pass. LIMIT ONE VEHICLE.

The area was exactly as described, condo its self needs a lot of updates. Sofa and chairs were really stained and the refrigerator racks were rusted and dirty. I always rent from Vrbo and have never been disappointed but this time it was a let down. Overall it was an okay stay.

Location was excellent. Walking distance to The Hangout and shopping. The view from the balcony was awesome. The pool could have been a bit cleaner, but not too bad. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.

The bed in the master slept wonderful and I could look out the large window in the morning to see the waves coming in. We had a great location just a block from the Hangout which was fun. The steamer was just around the corner as well. Our stay was a great experience.

Only a few comments on things that could have gone better. No linens for the couch/bed until I contacted SP twice, the batteries didn't work right in the remote control for the TV(we had to buy batteries) and the toilets were way too low to the ground for folks with knee issues - updated toilets (standard height toilets would have made a great difference). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

But there are things the owner needs to do to keep people coming back.The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as does the couch. The place needs a really good deep cleaning( blinds, ceiling fans, walls are dusty, floors are marginally clean.) There is bare wiring in the utility closet(this has got to be a fire hazard) Is there a way to vent the dryer other than into the condo itself? We were happy that the washer and dryer and stove hood had been replaced since last year.

In all my years staying there I have NEVER been charged an additional amount of money after I already paid for my stay (almost a month before the dates) for a parking pass. It has ALWAYS been including in my total I pay before arriving. The front desk lady was absolutely the rudest customer service person I have ever met. She told multiple people while I was in line if they didn't like it they could stay somewhere else. Our room had dirt dishes, pictures knocked off the walls and gnats flying all in the kitchen. I have stayed in many rooms in Island Winds over the years and this one was by far the worst one.

Short walk to the restaurants and shops and very short distance from the condo to the beach (which made hauling all our stuff stumper easy!!). However, the condo itself needs a lot of work. It is older, so everything looks dirty and worn out. The ceiling was also falling apart in the kitchen, and when we woke up one morning there was pieces on the ground. We have a 1 year old who puts everything in his mouth, so this was less than ideal. We did not reach out to the owners bc of the short stay, and we do not spend much time in the room to begin with so it wasn’t worth the hassle of getting someone in there to fix it. All this being said, I wouldn’t stay again for the simple fact that everything felt dirty to me and was somewhat falling apart.

Reviewer Comments: On the good side, Anchor staff friendly and helpful Unit was clean porch furniture was in good shape on the bad side The second bedroom queen mattress was terrible. it needs to be replaced. The washing machine makes a lot of noise. Bearing or something going bad. No safety grab bars in the tub units. Some of the lamps are in poor condition and need to be replaced. Finally, The Island Winds Office staff would not sell us a second parking pass or part week parking pass because of the following weekend NCAA tournament. The lot was more than half empty most of the week and there were still a few spots empty when we checked out early Saturday. We will not be coming back to the Island Winds again.

The unit immediately upon entry was very musty smelling. The textured ceiling in the kitchen was falling down with a huge piece on the floor upon entry. The door to the laundry room was unattached. The washer was EXTREMELY loud, leaked on the floor and didn't spin dry the clothes properly. Dishes were dirty. Main bathroom tub did not drain and was left with several inches of water after one shower. Pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable and we considered buying a blow up mattress for the floor. We didn't have any blankets but after notifying management they immediately brought us brand new ones. Master bedroom mattress is needing to be replaced. BUT the view was incredible and the porch was ideal. Location is ideal to beach and night life. If problems could be fixed it would be a wonderful place. We called before booking after reading reviews & were told all issues were resolved from previous reviews but clearly not. We will not be renting from here again.

Reviewer Comments: Arrived to a corner condo with a double balcony and great view of the beach. The light switches in both bedrooms are disconnected, you have to make your way to the ceiling fan to turn in the lights. The drain in the main bathroom shower and sink STILL doesn’t drain well. The floors felt gross after the first night with no broom or anything to clean with. This condo is defiantly not cared for at all. Just a money maker. I’ve stayed in this area for the last 8 years and have never experienced such a run down place. Absolutely no spices, coffee filters or anything in the cabinet to make the stay a little more comfortable. OH and the mattresses are terrible! You can not make a move on the master bed without it squeezing and creaking. We actually decided to dive home after the 4th night so we didn’t have to sleep there again. The worst conditioned condo we have experienced.

It was very humid and hot no matter what the AC was set to. Not sure if some humidifiers are needed or what. Reviewer Comments: From the moment we walked in and my wife smelled the smoke and we looked around at the cobwebs, dirty chairs, coffee table with missing glass, we contacted the company and advised that due to my wife's allergies and her grandson's asthma we would be forced to find other arrangements and requested reimbursement. After numerous phone calls and many delays on their part, they informed us they could not assist us since we did not wait around for them to remedy the situation, although we waited two hours.
