We used the grocery market next door several times, and walked to the metro station a couple blocks away every day. We really liked the Gracia neighborhood - it was cute with many fun stores and restaurants, without being overly touristy. The apartment was comfortable, albeit pretty "no frills." "This apartment was in a nice quiet neighborhood, surrounded by shops and restaurants. It was easy getting around from the nearby metro stop, and in the record-breaking heat the pool provided some much needed relief from the heat. However, communicating with the management company was challenging. the check-in process was complicated as we were traveling with an infant and needed to use the metro to check in and pick up the keys at a location that was far from the address of the actual property....

"Warning - the apartment is unsafe and very dirty. No working fire alarm, no gas monitor, doors did not lock properly with no padlock or chain. Safe did not work. Mold around, grease on kitchen cabinets, not enough utensils, dust and dirt on surfaces. Towels and bedsheets were clean."
