"Great place to stay right near the Guayaquil Airport. They had lots of security so we felt safe when we arrived. The area around the airport is probably not a place where you want to walk around if you are not from Ecuador."

"This is our second time staying at Terrazas. The hotel is conveniently located but security is needed and provided. The suites are spacious and clean. The staff very accommodating. The last morning of our stay, we had an early flight, we had no hot water. That's the only negative mark. Cold shower at 5am it's a little sad."

"Great location in the historic area with views of the river and lots of dining options. Staff was wonderful—accommodated my request to change my reservation to the next day when my flight was delayed and gave me breakfast at 6:30am for an early morning flight. Be ready for lots of steps (it’s an old building and there is no elevator). Would definitely stay here again!"

"After traveling for 10 hours, we arrived by taxi to find that all the lettering had been removed from the front of the building and it was shut down. It turns out that after intensive inspections after the recent earthquake, the building was determined to be unsafe. There were personal on the scene which transported us to a nearby hotel ( The Palace) which truned out great. It's unfortunate with today's technology that Expedia cannot keep track of people's reservations and inform them of such...

"I noticed a big different from last year to now may be is because the country is going thru a lot of political pressure but people are scared to go out amd out gatherings are not the same, you see a lot of military people on the streets. The hotels is fabulous beacuse of the staff."

"This hotel is in downtown Guayaquil. We stay here whenever we are in Guayaquil and are happy with the hotel. It's clean, adequate to our needs and unpretentious. We have tried other hotels in Guayaquil but Las Penas is our favorite."
