Listen to sea lions barking & the sound of waves as you soak in the hot tub or relax on the sunny deck surrounded by redwoods. The house is modern & comfortable w/ 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath with amazing tub for soaking, a fully appointed kitchen, vaulted ceilings, sky lights & an open floor plan. Great spot in walking distance of ocean access, coffee shop and great Thai restaraunt! Highly recommend. Given the beautiful decorations if have small kids have to kid proof the house a bit but definitely doable !

Just lovely! Best kitchen to cook in ever. There are a lot of stairs, so be aware of that.

Amazing house in a great area. Very attentive host and nice amenities and features. One of our favorite areas.

We enjoyed this cottage. There were a few drawbacks, but nothing unmanageable for us. We enjoyed the quiet, safe neighborhood and the fully stocked kitchen and nice bedrooms. Also we really enjoyed the electric fireplaces in the bedrooms and upstairs. The steps outside the house and inside the house would make this cottage impossible to navigate for the physically challenged. The kitchen and living area were upstairs, and the bedrooms and bathroom were downstairs. We did a lot of going up and down the stairs. The laundry room was separate and had an outside entrance beside the garage- that was a little unhandy. Plus, the “ocean view” was exaggerated. We could maybe see, if we strained, a tiny bit of ocean. The deck was nice and the house was surrounded by coastal redwoods. We really enjoyed the woodpeckers who were storing acorns inside the tree bark.

Really beautiful, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a great weekend. Bonus for the lovely decor,being dog friendly and hot tub!

It is a beautiful space with a well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was a nice bonus after our hike. The beds were plush and heat in the room kept us cozy. There are a lot of nice touches and it felt like home.

We LOVED our stay at Mamma K's cottage. My kids said it was the best trip ever! The house is so cute, we were obsessed with some of the furniture. My husband, children, & myself got the best sleep we've had in a while. If you stay here be prepared to leave fully relaxed & rested. The house was well stocked like home & had everything we needed. The kitchen was a dream to cook in as well. Karen has thought of everything! The beach was a short walk down a steep hill, but totally doable even with my bad knee. The beach itsself is a hidden gem! A little slice of north coast paradise. We used the cottage as a base camp to also head further north for some hiking in Mendocino, the location wroked perfectly for us. Definitely take Karens advice when she says to stop & get a baccon slipper in Point Arena! Thank you for hosting us! We cant wait to come back.

Tree House

The house and area are beautiful, every view had the forest included, like living in a tree house. We were there for a local festival; the location was perfect. Lovely details in the home, comfortable and had all we needed.

Anchor Bay

My friend and I had a lovely stay at this house. Great location. Very quiet. A delightful house full of art, light and color. Highly recommend.

The property is nicer than the pictures in my opinion. Lots of nice lovely little touches like a nice tea pot and tea bags and a bunch of coffee with a pour over set up. The decor was really nice. My wife and I were trying to take notes for our own house. The vaulted ceiling and skylights were great.

Comfortable Art-Filled Cottage

Clean & cozy cottage in lovely setting among redwood trees with view of ocean. Art-filled decor, comfy furniture & excellent kitchen. Lots of stairs from driveway to front door & then between house’s two levels. Lovely small fenced garden sitting area worked well for our dog. Quiet neighborhood convenient to wonderful trails, stores and restaurants. Perfect place!

Vacation

The rental was perfect for us. Size and room setup. We used the kitchen. We loved the hot tub. Short walk to the beach, and a few shops, but a bit steep. Thanks for your hospitality and great directions to Bowling Ball Beach.

Lovely spot!

This was a very pleasant place. It was warm upstairs and cool downstairs, perfect for sleeping. There was artsy things everywhere, even after a few days something nice would surprise me. And the best restaurant for miles was within walking distance. Anchor Bay Thai. And the local convenience stores was nice, prepared food and a good produce section. Both were within a short walk tho it was uphill to get back.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is clean and conveniently located with a lot of amenities, including great Internet and a Smart TV that we could log into our own Netflix account on. A couple of things to be aware of: there are many stairs, both from the parking area to the house and from the bedroom/bathroom level to the kitchen/dining/living room on the second floor. Also, there is a deep bathtub, so it’s a long step down into and out of it (and no grab bar). Five Stars!

Could not have been more perfect!

Fabulous location to explore this gorgeous stretch of California Coast. The cabin had an artsy vibe & a feeling of spaciousness while still being cozy. I loved the fact we could hear sea lions while soaking in the tub! The rental was sparkling clean upon our arrival and the kitchen thoughtfully stocked with everything one might need for food prep...so appreciated!!! Host Karen was wonderful in responding promptly to any inquiries we threw her way. 5 STARS!

Retirement vacay in California

The house was exactly as stated. It is pretty remote but there are day trips that can be done very easily. It is very relaxing and quiet. Could hear seals in the morning (wish I knew where they were at) and believe we heard a moose/elk? At night. Karen was great at promptly responding to our one issue. Thanks for a great stay.

A super special place! It's clear the host has taken care in selecting and maintaining the art, furniture, linens, and kitchen items. This felt more like a home than a rental. We would stay again but would not bring our dogs - I should have paid more attention to the amount of stairs (our semi-elderly dog had a tough time). The upstairs fireplace stopped working but the host gave us an option for heat and showed genuine concern by offering a small refund. If/when we return, we will bring two pairs of slip-on shoes to make going outside a bit easier. Walking the dogs in the early morning was magical - the light pollution ban makes for a lovely stroll to the sound of sea lions.
