"Room was very nice, clean and quiet"

"An underrated good hotel. The rooms were clean. There was free coffee machines in the lobby which is a nice addition. The breakfast quality was surprisingly good, and in fact, one of the best I have ever had. All food tasted great. Even the fruits were fresher and sweeter than other places I have been to. The receptionists were friendly people who provided paper plates and utensils when we ordered food online and wanted to eat in the dining area. These small gestures were very good, which is typically missing in bigger, more pretentious expensive hotels. I would say, stay here and you will like the friendly and 'human' vibe."

"The hotel is impeccably appointed and clean. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The breakfast area was well stocked with a variety of delicious options including healthier choices. Parking is an extra charge and it is across the street. (Cap of $10/day) "

"I love to stay at the Wildwood Lodge; it is one of my favorites! The staff is great and the location is the best. The pool and hot tub are an added bonus as well as the great complimentary breakfast. "

"Convenient airport shuttle. Quick and efficient check-in / check-out. Quiet location despite proximity to airport. Our room was decent size. Convenient electrical outlets for charging laptop / phones. Working desk is small but adequate. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Nice variety for breakfast. (I miss the frozen cheese omelets, but the scrambled eggs were excellent.) Perkins Restaurant within easy walking distance. Hy-Vee grocery and deli in the shopping mall across the street for self-catering. Many other dining options available if you have your own transport. We use this place almost every time we fly into Des Moines. Still good value for money."

"It was slow getting what we needed (extra pillow, swim towels). The room looked like it needed some repair done. Breakfast was almost a half hour later opening then what the sign said."
