Beautiful getaway

A beautiful well-restored historic cottage, excellent for a couple's getaway. Excellent amenities - the fire and outdoor spa were highlights. We would certainly visit again.

Fantastic location, we walked into town, easy access to all amenities. A definite home from home, quiet, relaxing, and the hot tub, bath tub and wood burner, were the icing on the cake!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shy Cottage. The accommodation was comfortable and beautifully presented. A great location being so close to the town centre.

Lovely cosy home

What a beautiful retreat for one or two people. We loved being only a couple of minutes away from the shops, but feeling tucked away in our own private setting. The cottage is small but spotless and well presented. We appreciated the extra touches such as the toiletries, the chocolates, the hot drink selection and the fluffy robes. Would definitely stay there again.

This place is the perfect wee getaway! Had the most wonderful stay. Great location and the gardens are awesome, all topped off with an outdoor bath. Sandie and Ian are great hosts thanks for having us.

great little spot

this was a great little cottage that was really handy to the Greytown shops. The 'Top Pub' is literally a couple of doors down the road and had a great little menu for an easy tea. Lovely spot

Beautiful Cottage with great attention to detail

A lovely night away from the kids, perfect location, beautifully decorated cottage. Was lovely and warm when we arrived and we felt at home instantly. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and loved the attention to detail. We will be back!

Beautiful little cottage

Wow what a fantastic little cottage, close to town, very well appointed.Cosy and warm with a choice of the enclosed fire box or the heatpump. Everything you need and the bed is super comfortable. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful little cottage ! So close to the shops and restaurants in Greytown and centrally located to all that the Wairarapa has to offer. Shy cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you would expect. Perfect !

Beautiful and secluded

We stayed for one night. The location is easy to find and getting access to the property was simple with clear instructions. The cottage is very cute and an ideal size for a couple. It was clean, well decorated and some lovely touches such as bath salts, and chocolates.The spa bath lovely, although it was a little dirty. We sat out in the quite garden and enjoyed the late evening sunshine.

This accommodation is very clean and absolutely everything you could possibly need has been anticipated. Several different types of coffee, crisp linen sheets and a spa bath in the garden. A very quiet enjoyable stay we will be back :)

Greytown Break

Property was delightful. Suitably historic and authentic. Only issue was that while we received confirmation of our booking we didn’t receive any details of address and check in procedures which meant that we had to disturb the hosts, who were most accommodating.
