"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Manor and will definitely visit again. We would highly recommend it to any couple. The place was very clean and well-kept, and the beds were so comfortable. The staff were excellent, and breakfast was great. To top off our stay, we even saw a whale breach right in front of us as we were driving out of the driveway. What a wonderful way to end our stay!"

"We loved everything about our stay at this property. It was clean and neat, Todd (the owner) was great to deal with, the food was fantastic, The view was spectacular as was the properties well taken care of by Todd. In addition, we were less than three minutes from Dildo Brewery. His home has a long and interesting history and reflects that in its decour. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great quality facility, with great service and food,\ as well as a great location."

"Rod and Brenda may be the most warm and welcoming hosts that we have ever had in our travels! We felt right at home in this beautiful boathouse on the water. The house itself is impeccably clean and stocked with all sorts of fun games and supplies from a pool table to a popcorn machine! We wish we could have stayed longer in this gorgeous home away from home. We loved our time there and greatly appreciated the kindness of our hosts. We did a bit of traveling and loved the central location. We agreed that this place is perfect for a lovely couples retreat where you may not plan to go anywhere too! The back porch and dock on the water let you really take in this beautiful place. We loved the decorations and aesthetic too-how often do you take pictures of the decor in a place you rent? Such a fun little gem tucked away in Newfoundland!"

Renovated 3 Bed Home overlooking Conception Bay in Carbonear, NFLD

"The house is lovely, and the decor is beautiful and very coastal. Views are wonderful so close to the water. Most of the house was throughly cleaned but the floors were dirty when we got there (dirtied up our socks, visible particles). Kitchen has everything you need including some condiments in the fridge. It was great having laundry on sight to wash some towels and clothing mid-stay. Not much to do in the area, a lot of closed down establishments but we were there to see family, so it was fine. As other reviewers mentioned, it is quite loud on the street. Cars, motorcycles, trucks and ATV’s speed past at all hours of the day/night. You do kind get used to it, it didn’t disturb our sleeping 4 year old and ear plugs helped me. We did notice some noises in the wall in the family room, scurrying and squeaking… possible rats… but never any indication of being IN the house. If we were to stay in Carbonear again, I would still consider renting this home again."
