"It was a quiet and lovely home and we enjoyed it. Our only issue was that the air conditioner was not working on our first night and it was very warm. When we called the emergency line, we could only leave a message. While it was fixed the next day, it was not a pleasant first night."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. We've been coming there for some years now. The only bad I could say is, "Everybody knows about this place now." We can't reserve a year in advance now on some holiday weekends. They are always booked up."

"I enjoyed my stay here. It is a very nice home. You can walk right out back and fish or just sit by the water. Water view when indoors is nice. Host was very responsive. Please know that you cannot take fish remains to the dump. They have signs, and they told us they do not accept them. When we asked how we should dispose of them, they told us they didn't know, but recommended we dig a hole. So, that was interesting. You only have access to the public dock, which isn't far. Short walk. I was slightly under the impression from the pictures that we had a private dock, but that was my mistake. It doesn't state that in the description, i just assumed. There is a restaurant right next door. It is decent. We brought food for our meals with us, but i did try their coleslaw, because im a coleslaw lover. I didn't care for it. Also, be aware that they do karaoke on Saturday nights. Friday there was no karaoke. It isn't quiet and peaceful on Saturday night for fishing, but if you like the night life, it would be good for you. I'm not sure how often the blankets/quilts are washed. The instructions were to fold them up after use instead of putting them with the sheets to be washed. We woke up Saturday morning to a bunch of tiny bugs/insects in the bathroom. All over the sink and the walls. They almost looked like gnats i guess. It wasn't a big deal though. We were just surprised. It definitely could've been something worse. No wash cloths. Bring some.out of space"

"We had an exceptional time at the red house with our group ranging from 2yr old to 89 year old. Everything we needed was provided dnd checkin was smooth."

"We had the most relaxing trip at Bells Marina & Resort. Our room was clean, and we loved that the decor wasn’t typical generic hotel prints. Beware of the beds! They are so comfortable they practically suck you in. Everything was convenient to our room. The lake was right outside our door, which couldn’t have pleased us more. The store, diner, and rental boats were right there. We had planned some hiking, and we discussed renting an electric boat. In the end, we opted to sit by the lake and have cookouts with all the wonderful people we met. The owner Jud was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is older, and you can hear the people above you. That wasn’t a problem for us, as we were hardly in our room, and the beds are too comfy to stay awake in. We can’t wait to get back to Bells Marina! Maybe next time we’ll get to that hiking, or maybe not. "

"Had everything we needed. The hammock chairs were blissful. The lake view was awesome. Spotting Julian the alligator a couple of times was very cool. Mill Creek Food & Spirits at the marina was delicious with beach-y drinks. Just overall a relaxing, dog friendly vacation."

"Great location on Lake Marion. Dock is set up for fishing and we caught a few big ones. House itself is exactly as described. Maybe not the Ritz, but it's Lake Marion. It's perfect for what it is. Very nice screened in porch looking out over the water. Almost a low country feel to the property and views. About 5 min from 1-95 and 10 min from Santee Food Lion. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped appropriately. Great location for a golf weekend as well - plenty of decent courses within about 20 - 30 min. Great spot for a quick get away."
