"After an amazing party in the afternoon we were unable to check until after 4;pm by which time no room on the lower floor was given as an option. The room is in the annex and described as a 2 minute walk. But that's not true for older people who have issues with walking. Once in the room which was hot. No heating was visible: the automatic fan and light combination was awful. Additionally no WiFi available. At 3am a red/green light started flashing which turned out to be the TV; eventually we found the off switch. Breakfast was greatly anticipated but sadly did not meet a 4star standard I can't even describe the black pudding. This was a greatly anticipated visit. I will try and see if it's improved in 6 months time."

"stayed at hotel on 25 April 2026 for one night having booked a superior double room using hotels.com app. While the room itself was pleasant, the heating system was not functioning. I had to walk for more than 5 minutes to reception to report the issue, as the room telephone went unanswered. A small heater was initially provided, but it was insufficient for the size of the room. I therefore returned to reception to request either a larger heater or an alternative room. I was then shown another room; however, this was not of the same superior standard, and unfortunately, the heating there was also not working. As a result, I chose to remain in my original room, where a second heater was eventually provided. I had checked in late in the evening expecting a relaxing stay, but instead spent several hours trying to get the room warm, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, I noted that there were no dressing gowns in the room and no room service available, despite these being advertised as part of your offering. Overall, I am very disappointed with the level of service I experienced. I have contact the hotel directly before submitting this review and demanded an explanation but they did not even respond to my complaint."

"The houses are well designed and stylish. The bed very comfortable and the shared spa, bar and gym a real luxury. Only downside for me was the staff, not all but some were not as welcoming or as attentive as I would like for the price. Breakfast does stay hot and the some of the layout etc needs thinking about. Please also put access to water by the sauna/spa."
