Great place to unwind and relax. Beautiful surroundings and attention to details in the room. The wine tasting was so fun and the breakfast included rolled oats with a fruit compote, homemade muffins, and a smoothie. I will be back soon.
This was our 2nd time here, the location is great, close to a music venue, hiking trails and some great restaurants. Love what they have to offer, will definitely be back,
Hostesses were very kind and helpful. Check-in and check-out were on-line and easy to do.
Our stay was quiet and relaxing. Close to the public beach and park and restaurants.
The staff were super sweet and compassionate. You can tell they really care about every detail that will make their guest feel comfortable and at peace. The only downside for me was that the rooms didn’t have a microwave, toaster, or iron, which are things I usually need when I book a place. I'm pretty sure it's mentioned on their booking page, but I was in a rush and didn’t notice, so I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t heat up my food.
I also had an issue with locking my door when I had to leave for work, which wasn’t great considering all my belongings were still inside. The staff showed real concern, explained that the cold can sometimes cause the doors to malfunction, and came by to show me how to bypass it. They also offered me a physical key, which was really helpful.
When I mentioned my concerns, they handled everything so graciously. I’d definitely stay again especially when I am not on a work trip as they do have other amenities (i.e. wine bar, cold plunge, sauna, board games, bonfires, etc.), that would make for a sweet escape.
We had a great stay at Somewhere Inn. The rooms are lovely (recommend the king room with soaker tub and fireplace), and lots of great local wine and beer options on site. Close to trails, beach and shops in Calabogie. Would recommend and we will be back!
This was a great place for a girls weekend away! We had the suite that slept 8 and were able to enjoy our room, the lounge, and the grounds - it was a winter wonderland! There was more than enough space for all of us and our stuff (winter gear, board games, snacks...) and the staff was extremely responsive and helpful. We're so happy we booked here and are hoping to make it an annual trip.
The room was well equipped, a good size and modern. Loved the tub with the bath salts. Will definitely return.

Beautifully and comfortably remodeled hotel with exceptional service! Loved the cold plunge / sauna and wine bar offerings. Had a sweet swim in the Lake from Barnet Park this morning, followed by shower and sauna. Fabulous shower, comfortable beds, and a propane stove for warmth and ambience. Also truly dog-friendly and lovely—unlike many other hotels that have made us feel like we were sleeping in a kennel with our dog. Would definitely stay here again when driving across Ontario. Thank you
Charming renovated motel, beautiful design, wine bar, in a charming location close to the lake. Everything is brand new and looks great, very comfy king bed, huge room, couldn’t ask for more in Calabogie. Close to the road is convenient but can be a bit noisy if there’s an event going on at the ski hill when you’re outside enjoying nature, but really this place is great and we’ll be back when we’re next in Calabogie.
I can't say enough good things about our stay. We loved it. Great staff, great rooms, nice vibe to the place. The service and communication from the staff in person and via the text messages was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and the designer did an amazing job keeping things clean and tasteful. NO TVs in the rooms! Yay! So nice to not hear another TV thru the walls and nice to unplug from all the city stuff.
Try a relaxing swing in the huge hammocks. Sit by a campfire at night. Try some of the selections from the fridge at the main lobby too. We hope to be back. It's a well decorated and well run place.
My only one beef would be for a quieter ceiling fan in room 11. But that is it! Thank you Somewhere in Calabogie. Well done
My partner and I decided to have a little R&R for a couple of days. We randomly ended up at Somewhere Inn Calabogie. We had a wonderful stay! The hospitality was absolutely amazing (everybody was so friendly and wonderful) and they would communicate with you via text, if you needed anything. On the last day, we had a LOT of snow, and we were afraid that we were going to have a hard time getting outta the area, but luckily, they had some people come through to help not only shovel the snow, but also help get some of the snow off our car. It was very sweet of them.
There isn't *too* much to do in Calabogie proper, except for maybe hiking in Eagle's Nest (we went end of March 2025). So prepare for this! I think it would've been really fun if we came here during the summer or fall. We ended up going to the day spa in Gatineau for one day, and then to Ottawa for another. All about 50 minutes to an hour away.
One other warning is that if you have loud neighbours, it might be a tad annoying. We luckily only had loud neighbours for one evening. Somewhere Inn provides you with ear plugs to help with this, but unfortunately they were fairly loud.
Otherwise, we had a nice little getaway from the bustling city of Toronto!
The check-in and check-out process at the hotel was smooth and straightforward. The hotel has a charming ambiance and features a cozy lounge equipped with an Apple TV. Unfortunately, the converter was missing during our stay, but you can still use AirPlay from your device.
For those who might get hungry, it's advisable to bring your own snacks. The hotel's food options are limited, and there aren't many dining spots within easy walking distance.
We did encounter a small cleanliness issue with stray hairs found in our room and bathroom. However, this was a minor concern, as the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. To ensure extra cleanliness, you might consider bringing some cleaning wipes and a swiffer sweeper.
Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant stay with a few considerations for future guests.
It's important to mention that there might be a discrepancy between Expedia's payment information and the hotel's actual billing practices. Expedia indicated I had paid half to reserve the room but never took the money. So, I was surprised when I was charged the full amount the day of check in. This is more of an Expedia issue than a Somewhere Inn issue. I’d recommend Expedia learns the value of providing clear communication on their communication platforms of how payments are handled. I also recommend double-checking your bank statements to avoid any surprises regarding payment.
