"I love the convenience of the location and its spot on the banks of the Thames. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The staff working at the various restaurants and bars were some of the nicest and most fun people I met! The only issue was the contactless check-in I tried through the guest portal. It didn't seem to work properly and I had to check-in at the front desk in the end which was inconvenient. The other issue was room service. While the service itself was great, I got overcharged by over £20 when I settled up at checkout, which I couldn't deal with as I had to rush out to catch a flight. So the start and end of my stay was disappointing but the stay itself was great."

"Location 5/5 Room 4/5 as it’s a bit small. Stay was great, this is very near to Aldgate East station. The rooms are comfy although a bit small in size and the bathroom is even smaller."

"Stinks on filthy floor. Staff not available to fix the hot water.Breakfast not available. No family for smallest room. Overly paid £160 for four days stay bothered by next door room. Won't recommend because I don't want to pay for illegal immigrants to enjoy a stay."

"I booked two rooms pre check in already done. When I arrived only one room was ready, that was fine we could wait. The room was in a corridor and the layout was ridiculous. We had to get in behind the door for all us to get into the room. No space between the door and the bed to even get into the room. Compared to other branches of this hotel this has definitely been the worst experience. The sink water wouldn’t drain straight away, water would pool and you have to wait for it to go down. Apparently this was normal. There was someone’s cigarette packet on the dusty top shelf- obviously not cleaned up there. The main problem was the air con. A room with no windows should have the air con working especially during this bank holiday heatwave. When they came to check they said it was normal. The second room we had the air con was working fine, so we could tell the difference. The corridor outside of the room was cooler than inside the room with the air con on! We absolutely melted in that room. During the shift change we had 2 new receptionists downstairs Mubashishir and Saqba. They were so lovely, they checked the air con and straight away said it was not working, offered a free breakfast as well. The next day one the cleaners set of the alarm vaping in the hotel. We went down to reception and the employees gave no guidance no reassurance as to what was happening and whether it was a drill or not. We asked them what was happening and no one knew. No clear fire alarm protocol."

"It took over 30 minutes to check in and no clear information was given to us regarding the app which we found out on our second stay is needed to ask for more toilet roll or for our room to be cleaned. Reception staff appeared very understaffed and always seemed to be run off their feet. The staff in the restaurant were unable to provide clear information regarding allergies for my son with a peanut allergy or provide and alternative option which was very concerning and caused a good deal of stress"
