"Exceptionally clean and comfy room, fresh bedding and towels available. Perfect location on the river, by the train station with just a 5 minute walk to the city centre. We stayed in room 1 and had a lovely view of the river on the morning, hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable. Martyn assisted with great communication telling us everything we needed to know prior to getting to the guest house, check in and check out was simple and easy. "Very happy with our 2 night stay. Very accommodating re. breakfast timings so I got to do Parkrun and still get breakfast! Peaceful and within easy reach of York, we just parked up at the Park and Ride. Thanks for looking after us."

"Owners were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious well decorated and cosy with interesting artwork. Bed linen and towels were clean and good quality. Shower cubicle is fairly small which wasn't a problem for us but I thought it worth mentioning. Parking is on street which is not busy. A permit is supplied by the owner. It is just a 5-10 minute flat walk into the town centre. We stayed for 1 night and didn't choose to have breakfast so cannot comment on that. We enjoyed our short visit...
