It didn’t disturb our stay much (except for the morning they tested the fire alarm system at 8 am), but it would have been nice if the property had communicated that with us. "Friendly and helpful onsite staff, especially Gisli who looks after our needs and help resolve any issues. He is courteous, responsive and problem solving. Hotel location is excellent. washroom is small and tight. A bit of noise from street. Overall facilities are good. Will come back to this apartment hotel."

"Wonderful experience! This is my second time staying at one of Alfred's properties. The units are well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. Communication with owner/manager is excellent and very responsive. The location could not be better. Close to fancy restaurants as well as casual places. Reykjavik's best coffee and bakeries are within two blocks. Shopping at Bonus and Kronan are also super convenient. The only area for improvement is that black out curtains/shades could be more effective. "

"The check in was a smooth and easy process. There was construction going on around the property on the road which made things confusing, created detour. The room was nice but when other people left or entered their room it was really loud as the sound would carry- to the point it sounded like they were accessing your room. People came and went throughout the night so it was loud with doors slamming whiling trying to sleep. It didn’t come with tea or coffee which was unfortunate but not a big...

"Awesome apartment. TV is ready to watch anything; heated floors in the bathroom; super comfy bed; lots of room; convenient to sites and shopping; and they stopped by every day to check on us. The ceramic convection burner was a little touchy and difficult to get just right. Practically perfect!"

"This is a nice centrally located property. Our room was comfortable. Unfortunately getting to our room was not! We were on the 4th floor with a steep narrow spiral staircase as our only access. We are two senior citizens and getting our luggage up and down was actually dangerous. Unless you are young and fit do not book here or request a ground floor room (then you will only have one flight of stairs up from the street level)"
