"I have rarely left a poor review, but this is advertised as a “Bed and Breakfast”, however, the breakfast is not provided, unless you pay €20 EACH! The property is in a prime spot right by Hallstatter Lake, but the rooms are very dated. We had no amenities in our room, besides hand soap. There was no hot pot for tea, and the towel holder was wet with rust; the towel in turn became soiled on contact. Then there was the parking fee, which we were aware of needing to be paid, BUT… the host and the...

"My wife was taking a shower in the morning and then just about she is done she noticed that the water is brown. I went to the front desk to report the issue, but I was surprised that they already know that there is an issue and that the main line somehow got crossed with a dirty water line but unfortunately they didn’t inform the rooms. I would imagine in a situation like that they should inform all guests not to use the water and especially we were using the tap water fir drinking as well. I...

"Our train was delayed and we were transferred to a bus which was late in arriving but Bhadar , the gentleman who met us was very accommodating. He helped with bringing our luggage upstairs and gave us a welcoming bottle of wine. There are not many early morning breakfast options. Our room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom window is funky and requires going outside to close it for privacy. The ferry ride back to the train station is scenic but be prepared for a long trek up the...

"I will start this review by saying I do not fault the guest assistant who came by with any of the issues that I had with the property. This property is amazing, the room is very spacious as is the bathroom and is beautiful, the view is worth staying here alone. The issue we had was upon check-in when we were trying to pay the city tax. We attempted to pay the city tax a few times when we checked in and then the person trying to collect the tax came back about four times and four hours, which was...

"Everything was amazing, unit, garden, amenities, checknin , check out , location. But the better and difficult to get i er was The service provided by the manager, Raja, was outstanding… it was a real pleasure; he is an attentive, responsible, and charming person. We are very happy with our stay."

"Very comfortable and clean. The owner was very helpful. Definitely will recommend this place to anyone!"

"This property is absolutely beautiful. The room was amazing with a spectacular view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and we loved the pool, spa and restaurant. The locations was perfect for us to see the lake areas and towns. Would highly recommend!"

"We stayed one night to visit Halstatt. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and functional. Delicious breakfast. We had a car and the free parking was a two minute walk. There’s a pizzeria next door for dining options. The beds were comfortable and the AC was a great bonus. Thank you"

"Gorgeous location, with the most beautiful of surroundings. Hotel pool was lovely and the whole place is very family friendly. We ate in the hotel once. It’s a set menu with a choice of 3 mains, salad buffet to start and dessert off the buffet too. Children get no choice but it was fine as it was pasta (off the buffet) so all good. There are restaurants within walking distance to try anyway. Rooms are clean and the bathrooms nicely done. No AC and despite being out of the heat wave the bedroom...

"Super clean apartment, owners were vety nice and helpful. There was everything we needed. Little kitchen was cude. We would only need to open it a bit earlier. ( it is closed 22.00-8.30 ). Supermarkets are nerby. All surounded by beautiful mountains."

"If you’re looking for affordable accommodation close to Hallstatt without paying Hallstatt prices, JUFA Hotel Altaussee is a reasonable choice, particularly for families with children. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the hotel offers good family-friendly facilities. (JUFA Hotels) That said, manage your expectations. The rooms are clean but very basic, and on the small side. They are perfectly adequate for a short stay but lack the comfort and character you...
