"Creaking floor in an attic room wasn’t great. Nice view from the window, if you were very small. Tricky staircase to deal with and very low ceilings in corridor. Looked like a fabulous room was unoccupied on ground floor but we weren’t offered it (even for a price) Hostess nice and helpful but no English. Continental breakfast was nice. Great location"

"We really enjoyed staying at Les secrets de Tifayne. The place is very pretty and quiet, hosts very friendly and helpful. We had a great room, full of character and clean. Breakfast was good and with plenty of local products. We also bought some of their wine. We will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend this place to anyone who desires a quiet place near Saint Emilion. It is definitely 10 out of 10"

"Fantastic. Would definitely go back. Beautiful place, beautiful surroundings excellent wine and service. Flew into Bordeaux and you will definitely need a car to get to the Chateaux. "Great, tiny hotel in a residential neighborhood about 20 minutes waking from the main sites. Pretty, modern interior and a nice breakfast room. No front desk - just five rooms. "

"Fabrice was kind and helpful, and the breakfast was a nice touch. There are thoughtful details in the room like micellar water, hand soap, shampoo and body gel. However the room we stayed in was VERY small and there was no place to put our clothes or suitcases. "

"Cours des Vignes is a great little guesthouse in Pauillac. Madame Pascale was attentive to every need, including dinner reservations in nearby St Julien. Rooms were large and quiet, very well appointed. Slept very well both nights. Her breakfast was excellent! Hope to visit again !!"

Besides the very warm welcome, Erik helped us secure a last-minute dining reservation in a nearby Chateau (excellent), and that was for a Monday night, when many local places stay closed! "We stayed here for a few days around a rugby world cup match, and it was a really lovely start to our trip. The chateau is beautiful and so peaceful - perfect for when you want to retreat from the chaos! The bedrooms are spacious and so well made up, and we were provided with evaporative cooling fans in the room to help with the heatwave. As it's more remote, you will need to travel a little for lunch and dinner, but it's absolutely worth it for such a unique stay."
