The Old Courthouse Inn

"All the antiques and each room had a different name and decor. We stayed in the Judges Chamber. The room was very small but great amenities like power packs to plug in USB cords. A Nespresso coffee maker with china cups and saucers. Glass wine and drinking glasses. The breakfast was awesome, once we got it. Breakfast isn’t available until 9 am. As seniors and early risers, we would have preferred 8am. We felt very sorry for the servers and manager as the Chef arrived about 20 minutes late. A little stressful if you are catching a ferry."

"Hotel location was ideal for tourist. It is close to historical places. The staff, Chelsea was very eccommodating and friendly. The AC was not sufficient to make the room cold enough during summer's hot temperature. Nevertheless, our stay was still good."

"The property has a beautiful ocean view. The place is comfortable and well equipped. There are various things for use for outside and inside entertainment. There are beach chairs and blankets which was helpful. There is an access to a really interesting beach below. The pullout bed isn’t great and there are skylights that don’t have any window coverings in the living room. The grounds around are natural but in some instances messy. Such as a pile of yard trimmings beside the rooms sitting area. The outside stairs just inside the gate are not safe and in need of repair. Over all we enjoyed our stay."

"The Rod has more character than anywhere else you will ever stay. The linens were all amazing, shower was wonderful, and it is super easy to get around if you have a car. Also had no problems with getting food delivered to my door. Found the fridge very useful as well as nice & cold!"

"I thought the property was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable, however we were charged extra per person which wasn’t maxe clear during our Expedia purchase this bumped the price a fair bit and I felt like it wasn’t transparent enough."

"Beautiful oceanside setting. Quiet, clean, well managed mini resort. Our host, Carolyn, was super friendly and helpful. Hot tub offers amazing sunset and seal viewing. Lovely grounds to enjoy."
