Each has a beautiful recessed terrace, to which breakfast is delivered. Charming and enchanting in all ways."

"Property is well located, close to the harbour (but not too close), on a quiet corner. There are good restaurants and dive shop options all walkable. Overall, the property is a little run down, but has great potential. They were building a new pool. The room had a musty smell (particularly the bed), and air conditioning was not as effective as others we have enjoyed in Indonesia. The restaurant was frustrating at times- not bringing the bill when we asked for it (this happened more than once)...

"A beautiful villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's in the middle of the island, so it is very quiet at night. We enjoyed the little walks to the more lively areas along the beaches. There were not many mosquitoes either, and we had a very comfortable stay. "

"I liked this resort! Under ten minute walk to the harbour. Cute eclectic/funky decor. Cool outdoor bath/shower. Great pool/lounge area. Friendly staff. Our included breakfast portions were very small and took about an hour to arrive would be my only negative. "

"The room is fantastic and the owner is very friendly. We loved having coffee, as much water as you want and bikes to ride around the islands. I was unsure whether Gili Air would be a bit too busy for us but we loved it. There are lots of nice restaurants. We are now at Gili Meno but wish we had stayed longer here and done a day trip to Gili Meno instead. If you are looking at this hotel book it! And do a day trip to one of the other islands instead."

"I was bitten by insects as soon as I entered the place.There was holes in the mosquito net, I voiced my concerns with the staff, who listened but did nothing. At night I was very bitten by mosquitoes. There is very little ventilation as no windows, so the heat builds up, the fan is inadequate to cool you down. The bathroom is outdoors and does not have any privacy. I ended up staying somewhere else, and paying again. The guest book had comments from other customer's voicing the same...

"This hostel was really nice, from the reception to the room to the breakfast , all very nice. I stayed for 5 nights , the first couple nights I stayed in the deluxe room and the last 3 in a standard double. I had planned on hotel hopping around the island but Gili Buana was so relaxed I was happy to stay put. As A solo traveler I felt very welcome. Aisje the manager was an amazing hostess, she invited me for sunset and dinner a couple nights which was lovely. I highly recommend this hostel. "
